Private
lessons are a great way to accelerate the improvement of swimming
technique by
working
one on one with a coach experienced in swimming technique. When a private lesson is done with a coach
who will also be working with the swimmer on a daily basis in
practices, it becomes much more effective. In my experience, the more self-motivated the
swimmer, the more effective private lessons can be.
Private
lessons will be available in the summer of 2010 for GOAL swimmers
by GOAL coaches! Coaches Alex Lewis,
Becky Yungbluth, Ben Porter, Zach Jacobsen and Tom Beck will be
conducting private lessons on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
afternoons at the DiVentures Scuba and Swim Center (Northwest
corner of 120th & I St.). These lessons are available to any non-GOAL
swimmer as well. The lessons start on
Monday June 7 and continue until Thursday July 29. The lessons are only on Mon/Tue/Thur (except no
classes will be held on Mon. July 5) and run 30 minutes in length
with classes starting at 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00 and 2:30
Pm.
We are
currently only offering one-on-one lessons, at a cost of $35 per
lesson (no group or semi-private options, due to space
limitations). To sign up for a private
lesson, simply click on the GOAL Lessons button on the GOAL website
and follow the instructions. To
guarantee your spot you will need to pay by credit card. If you would like to pay by check (made
payable to Greater Omaha Aquatics), you will be placed on a waiting
list. As soon your check is received
you be placed in the class if it is still available. You will receive an e-mail notification confirming
your successful registration. After
successfully registering, please e-mail your lesson instructor with
your goals for the lesson(s).
